New installment of Mr. 100 Days - Day 64

Click on the Mr. 100 Days tab above and head over to check out the latest installment of Mr. 100 Days, Day 64 is up and its a dark one.
Or just click here: www.mr100days.com

Its a little bit longer as I was having a tough time editing and getting all the information into one installment that I wanted to get in.

There are only 25 parts left (in my head I call them episodes)

If I've done the math right, this will make Mr. 100 Days have exactly 100 parts, maybe 101.

Warning, it's a little long, second warning the ending gets a little graphic.

This third and final chapter in the Mr. 100 Days saga is almost over and when it is,
it's over for good.

Enjoy, pass it on, spread the word, and stay tuned for the next episode.

Breaking Dawn Part 2, a review by Kenneth Vazquez

As always I'd like to thank Ken Vazquez for writing another stellar review for us here at The BOOM Page. But I must point out in his first paragraph here he states, "my very own opinion" Ken, you are not alone in that opinion, it is mine as well as most men walking the Earth today would tell you real vampires don't sparkle in the sunlight. Thank you and now Ken's review

Twilight, Breaking Dawn Part 2 - A review by Ken Vazquez
(he promised his mother he'd take her, I took my daughter, its how real men roll.)

Vampires according to folklore, and my very own opinion (must stress MY VERY OWN OPINION), do NOT sparkle or walk in the sunlight (day dwelling vamps are a debatable possibility). Real vampires (as "real" as fiction allows them to be) are blood thirsty and ravenous creatures of the night. Again, according to folklore.

The Real Consequences of AvX is All New X-Men

All New X-Men #1 has hit the stands and it is the real answer to how the consequences of AvX have affected the Marvel Universe. Cyclops, Magneto and Magik are running around the globe trying to make contact with new mutants and help them with their transformation, because apparently the normal humans have gone back to a bunch of crazed racist that hate and fear mutants.

The story is done beautifully told by Brian Michael Bendis, telling us the tale that Beast is once again going through another mutation, and he needs to do something fast to make sure he can help save mutantkind.

The threat this time is one of his oldest and best friends, Cyclops, he needs to find a way to stop him from being looked at as a threat by the world without engaging him in another fight. Iceman makes the comment that if the old Cyclops was here right now he'd tell this Cyclops how wrong he is in what he's doing.

The Darkness is coming...Silent Hill review by Kenneth Vazquez

Silent Hill Revelations A Review by Kenneth Vazquez

I'm a gamer, a VERY dedicated gamer. As such I get so invested and attached to the video games I play that when a film adaptation of a known and beloved title is released I run for the proverbial hills, take cover and brace myself for the all too familiar kick of disappointment. That's not the case with 'SILENT HILL: REVELATION' which like It's predecessor manages to keep some of the video game source material and it's integrity intact at least in look if not story.

Television is BOOMING

I haven't done a TV article in some time but that is probably because the shows I am watching lately are so good, I don't keep my laptop or iPad open while I'm watching.

On Sunday Nights - Once Upon a Time - this season is definitely different than last, with the curse broken and watching how the story book characters act now that they realize they aren't in their home world is some good stuff. The challenge of Emma and Snow/Mary Margaret getting back to the real world has been great. The character development on this show is fantastic, making these long time fairy tale characters have personalities with new life breathed into them has made for an enjoyable television show. It has a good mix of mystery, comedy, action all while telling a great story. This is not easy to do,but apparently on Sunday nights its the night to do it.

Shaken, not stirred..Skyfall review by Kenneth Vazquez

"007 reporting for duty." To say that 'SKYFALL' is the best of the last three James Bond films is to put it mildly.

a review by Kenneth Vazquez

Perfect, while strong a word, is definitely more befitting. What better way to celebrate 50 years of high octane action and international espionage than with author Ian Fleming's enduring hero.

Avengers vs. X-Men Analysis part 6 The End

The final chapter in the AvX Consequences, issue #5, came out this past week and sadly it fell off the good track that it had been put on just last issue. Same writer different artist and in this medium that can make all the difference in the world.
This issue seems to be pivotal of what is to come but sadly its presented in a way that is anti-climatic and displayed with art that is lacking and not dynamic enough to be considered done the Marvel way.

Cloud Atlas a Review by Kenneth Vazquez.

Tour de Force!

A review of the movie Cloud Atlas

by Kenneth Alexander Vazquez

I've always wanted to use the phrase "tour de force" when describing how good a movie is. However I can't bring myself to use the term on a film as grand and operatic as 'CLOUD ATLAS' for it would not do it justice.

The Wachowskis (Lana and Andy) and German director Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run) have achieved the unachievable by making a film based on a book which a lot of critics feel could never be

adapted into a feature. Based on the best selling novel by author David Mitchell, 'CLOUD ATLAS' is a sprawling and more than epic sci fi fantasy/drama/love story (yes, I consider it a love story) of cosmic proportions comprised of multiple interconnected narratives taking place on different time periods.

Avengers vs. X-Men Analysis part 5 The Turn Begins

It has been over a week since my last AvX Analysis, to be honest the book defeated me, issue #3 another lackluster output from Marvel on a book that should be filled with answers and a true focus on tying up loose ends just did not deliver in issue #3. Cyclops was still being drawn weighing in aproximately 50-75lbs less than normal. His shape misqued to allow for more of a villianous look was still present and his whiny attitude was at an all time high. Then this past week issue #4 comes out, and the turn begins.

Avengers vs. X-Men Analysis Part 4 Whom Else is Guilty

Part four of the AvX analysis is going to discuss what is happening to Cyclops and the fact that he is in this mysterious privately owned jail. (Anyone want to bet its own by Norman Osborn) Sure Cyclops went all Phoenix all over the planet but lets take a look at some others who did some similar type actions and got away with it without an issue.

1. The Incredible Hulk
He is walking destruction and has been since he's been created, sure he's the misunderstood hero and at times has helped people, but he's also caused massive chaos, damage and pretty much destroyed entire cities.
After the World War Hulk story line Hulk actually laid waste to Manhattan, there is no way you can tell me that no humans were killed in the Hulk's rampage.

Now I can't say that the Hulk gets away with everything, he is often hunted down by the government, but even in the AvX story the Avengers recruit the green Hulk to come join them in taking down the Cyclops and Emma Frost.

The story World War Hulk takes place after the story Planet Hulk where Hulk was sent off planet so things would be more peaceful for him. Doesn't exactly sound like he had to pay for his crimes.
