funniest animated movie I can think of

There are some good ones, Shrek, Surfs Up, Kung Fu Panda, all good all funny, and there's some bad ones, Open Season 2, The Wild, and the worst by far Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron. But by far the funniest animated movie I have seen is Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.
Flint Lockwood, (Bill Hader) a young man who grew wanting to be nothing but an inventor, and encouraged by his mother thinks he's a genius. She sadly dies and is left alone with his father,(James Caan) who runs the local baitshop, thinks maybe he should give it up. When the community that he lives in, is in an economic crisis because their primary source of income a sardine cannery was shut down, Flint decides to try his latest invention, a machine that can turn water into food. But something goes wrong and the machine ends up in the atmosphere. Later it starts raining food. And so the shifty mayor (Bruce Campbell) tries to use this as a way to help their community. But when Flint sense something's wrong with the machine, the mayor convinces him to ignore it. But as Flint predict chaos ensues and the town is covered in food.

The best thing about this movie may be the cast, Bill Hader in the lead role as Flint, Amy Smart as the reporter/ love intrest. James Caan, Andy Sandberg, Bruce Campbell, Neil Patrick Harris and Mr. T as the local cop. Mr. T is fantastic in this movie "something's up, my chest hair is tingling!"

The animation is fantastic, its a great blend of traditional techniques mixed with some computer animation at its finest. Its rated PG because the humor is built for both kids and adults.

Go out and buy this movie, you will not be disapointed and if your kids watch it over and over again, you certainly won't mind.
